Hello, we are George, Louise and Miles, our Golden Retriever.

Miles Across the USA was created to document the full-time RV travel adventures of George, Louise and Miles.

George joined the Navy in 1974 when he turned 17 and served aboard the USS Independence from 1975 - 1978. Upon being honorably discharged, he attended college using the GI Bill and received a degree in computer science and has enjoyed coding ever since.

After graduating with a General Business Degree from Bryant University, Louise’s career was in Inventory and Supply Chain Management. She prided herself in being a compassionate leader and has built many valuable relationships along the way.

George and Louise met when George came home on leave during his last year in the Navy. They have been happily married since September of 1982. They were both born and raised in Rhode Island. For the first 10 years of their marriage, they lived in Rhode Island but then moved to Massachusetts to raise three amazing children together.

Miles is a Golden Retriever who lives a dog’s dream life. He joined the family shortly after he joined the world in May of 2012. Miles loves to smell new smells, go for long walks and meet new people (especially children).

In June of 2020, George, Louise and Miles began their adventure in their 2019 Winnebago View. Being able to live and work from the road gives them the flexibility to live a life that is fulfilling, mindful and inspiring. Most of what will be recorded here, on Facebook, YouTube and Instagram will revolve around travel, food and living a nomadic life filled with adventure, new places and people.
